Quartz to Pyrex graded seals can be fused to most rectangular quartz cells, allowing them to be joined to other borosilicate apparatus. The normal graded seal tube dimensions are 8 mm ID and 70 mm length. For glass materials the tube and cell need to be fabricated from borosilicate glass. Straight bore tubes can be attached to most cells.
