DEGASi® FlatFilm NG is a stand-alone inline vacuum degasser of the Biotech Fluidics DEGASi NG family; it removes dissolved gases continuously with a constant vacuum applied over a gas-permeable Systec™ AF membrane (a silicone membrane in the HighFlow 1000 and LifeSci models). The flat reinforced Teflon AF membrane gives double the degassing performance per unit volume, ten times lower flow resistance and less solvent loss than traditional tubular designs; the manufacturer also states that it needs only one tenth the amount of PFAS polymers. Suitable from biocompatible requirements to demanding organic solvent compatibility including hexane; nominal flow rate is 6 mL/min per channel. It has patented closed-loop vacuum control, leak and error detection and a bicolour status LED, and is CE and RoHS compatible.
