HemoCheck detects residual hemoglobin on items that may have been in contact with blood. Two vials are combined, the target area is swabbed, the swab is placed in the vial, and a blue-green colour change is read after about 30 seconds. It detects hemoglobin at 0.10 µg and above. Long swabs are offered separately for checking cannulated items.
