With conventional tableting tools, press roller forces combined with high torque cause one-sided force and premature wear in critical areas. The freely rotating disc in the tool head turns easily under load and decouples the tool from the torque. It addresses head wear, wear on the punch tip of moulding tools, high load on the tips of multi-tip tools, punch stiffness and abrasive wear on the tip of a round punch.
