Screw cap and septum cells (GL14 and small cap)

Cells with the suffix GL14 have a standard GL14 threaded top with either a closed cap (GL14-C) or a septum cap (GL14-S) and can be used under anaerobic conditions; each cap contains a silicone seal for an airtight fit. In the small-cap (ST) versions the 12 mm cap does not extend beyond the perimeter of the cell. Black-walled versions improve sensitivity. Unless specifically designed otherwise, all cells are assembled by fully fused construction without intermediate adhesives and can generally be used with pressure differentials of up to three atmospheres. Standard window thickness is 1.25 mm and the standard path length tolerance is ±0.01 mm (catalog general specifications).
