Tapped density is achieved by mechanically tapping a volumetric cylinder containing a powder. The manufacturer states the testers are designed to measure the tapped density of powders, granules and similar products in accordance with USP <616> Method 2 and European Pharmacopoeia 2.9.15. Cylinders compatible with Agilent, Electrolab, Erweka, Sotax and Distek are listed.
