TOSI consists of a stainless steel coupon carrying simulated blood soil and a clear plastic holder. The holder reproduces the angle of a box lock to create a physical cleaning challenge. The soil is manufactured to the same specification every time. It is used in automated washers, ultrasonic cleaners and proteolytic detergent baths.
