Laboratory centrifuges
CentrifugesCenturion Scientific is a brand of laboratory and industrial centrifuges made in the United Kingdom. According to the official product brochures, the manufacturer of Centurion centrifuges is Hawksley & Sons, founded in 1869. The centrifuges are CE marked and ISO 9001 regulated, with a 2-year warranty.
Product groups
Micro centrifuges (up to 0.2 L)
Compact, high-speed benchtop centrifuges: 15,000 rpm, up to 22,000 RCF, 99 programme memory, 10 acceleration and 10 braking rates.
Small centrifuges (up to 0.5 L)
Benchtop centrifuges that take more samples than the Micro series: 15,000 rpm, 22,000 RCF, LED or LCD, ambient or refrigerated. 4-place and 8-place swing-out, angle (15, 50, 100 ml) and microtitre plate rotors are sold separately.
Medium centrifuges (up to 1 L)
Mid-size benchtop centrifuges taking up to 1 litre of sample: 15,000 rpm, 22,000 RCF, LED or LCD display, ambient or refrigerated (-10 to 40 °C, PID controlled).
Large (3 L) and Floor (4 L) centrifuges
High-capacity benchtop (3 L) and floor-standing (4 L) centrifuges of the Pro Analytical series. Brochures are on the official website; details were not reviewed for this page.
Rotors and accessories
Angle rotors (for example 8 x 15 ml, 4 x 50 ml, 12 x 15 ml, 6 x 100 ml), swing-out rotors, microtube and haematocrit rotors, 5-50 ml adapters.
