Silica-based benzenesulfonic acid phase: particle size 50 µm, pore size 60 Å, carbon 6%, pKa < 1. It is the strongest cation-exchange sorbent and is optimised for organic applications; the non-polar character of the benzene ring is useful for compounds with both cationic and non-polar properties.
