DNACON was developed by Starna as a stable, traceable reference material for validating nucleic acid purity using the 260/280 ratio method; pure DNA and RNA solutions have ratios of ≥1.8 and ≥2.0 respectively. The microvolume versions are Starna Green and DNACON references supplied in screw-cap vials for qualifying instruments used with micro drop systems.
