Borosilicate glass fibre depth filters combine fast flow with high loading capacity and retention of fine particulates. They are also used as prefilters to keep membranes from clogging, and are thermally stable up to 500 °C (180 °C for GF 10). Grade equivalents are given in the table with Whatman cross references.
