NIR neutral density glass filters (R1, R3, I1) qualify the absorbance accuracy and linearity of NIR spectrophotometers and are certified at 1100, 1700, 2210, 2500 and 2850 nm; metal-on-quartz NIR filters serve a similar purpose. The NIR wavelength reference (TS5 organic matrix in a quartz cell) provides 14 certified peaks across 900 to 2600 nm. The chloroform cell is for NIR stray light and the polystyrene film for mid IR/NIR-FTIR wavelength and resolution.
