The IDEX 316 stainless steel fittings are used in traditional HPLC and UHPLC analytical systems and are rated to 20,000 psi (1,380 bar) when wrench-tightened. The standard IDEX construction is for 10-32, 1/4-28 or M6x1 coned ports; the Common Valve type is for Rheodyne-brand valves with 10-32 and 5/16-24 coned ports; other manufacturer-compatible fittings are also supplied. Metal fittings should not be used in plastic ports; the recommended torque is 20 in-lbs (2.25 N·m).
