FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) tubing has virtually identical chemical resistance to PFA at a lower price and suits general fluidic applications at limited pressure. Compared to PTFE it has tighter dimensional tolerances and lower gas permeability; its translucent nature makes it possible to monitor fluid flow. Maximum operating pressure varies from 500 psi (34 bar) up to 3,000 psi (207 bar) depending on resin purity, diameter and wall thickness; maximum temperature is 50 °C for continuous use.
