Fourteen 2D cameras plus infrared cameras examine both the capsule surface and its contents. The manufacturer's defect list covers double caps, empty capsules, holes, bubbles, scratches, tearing, crushing, print fading, foreign particles, colour contaminants and length defects. The feeding section is designed to remove powder residue left from filling, and a three-stage sorting arrangement keeps rejected product from mixing back in. Criteria are set by capsule size, colour and product specification.
