As specified by the USP, the drum runs at a 10° tilt to the bench top and is held by a snap-click knob. The tester turns at a fixed 25 rpm and can be programmed in counter and timer modes. The manufacturer states that it helps meet USP and Ph. Eur. requirements for friability testing.
